Whether this time is spent to unwind and mode-switch, or sit frustrated in a car queue, can make a large difference over the long run.

This website is inspired by Mr. Money Mustache's writing on this topic, especially The True Cost of Commuting. CommutingValue is meant as a practical tool to help people calculate this in a fast, clear, and shareable way.

CommutingValue exists to support deliberate, long-horizon decisions about time.
